| What is Love? |
[Friday

|
Out of everything in this world, love has to be the most confusing. We got though phases of knowing whether we are in love or not, and we are constantly trying to figure it out. It can be hard to recognize different types of love, and actually finding your true love is another story. Some people may believe they have this emotion completely figured out, but there is always something unexpected waiting to happen when love is involved.

People are obsessed with love whether they realize it or not. We are constantly thinking about it somehow, and we all want to find it. Something people do all the time is going through phases. One day they think they really like someone and develop a crush, and then the next day they think that person is a total waste of time, but then believe they are in love with them as more time passes. This causes frustration among every love seeker and contributes to the famous statement, “Love Sucks.” We are so eager to find love, that we consider every candidate.

Since most of us are all eager to find love, we often confuse the different types and levels of this emotion. Once again, we like to consider every candidate and may believe we love someone much more than we actually do. For example, a person might develop romantic thoughts for their best friend because he or she may be of the attractive sex, but soon realize that there wasn’t really anything there at all. Loving someone is caring for them and wanting the best for them, but it is not the same as being in love.

Everybody waits for the day they meet they’re true love. Sometimes we think we’ve found them, but it doesn’t turn out the way it’s supposed to and we easily lose those feelings. But once you find your true love, you can’t imagine spending your life with anyone else. All you want is for that one person to be the happiest he or she can be, and you need their love. But the best thing is, they feel the same exact way about you.

So to answer the question, “What is love?” It’s a confusing part of life. It affects everyone everyday of their life, and it always will. There’s no way to avoid it, and no easy way to experience it, but it can bring the most happiness you’ll ever experience, or the more heartbreak than you can imagine.
